Western Carriers (India) Limited (WCIL), a top player in integrated logistics and supply chain solutions, has officially launched its advanced multi-modal cargo terminal at Devaliya Station (WCGD) near Morbi in Gujarat’s Halvad district. This milestone project, developed under the Gati Shakti initiative, marks a major boost to the region’s transport infrastructure.

Spread across 30+ acres, the terminal is designed to handle both Container and Wagon Rake systems, offering seamless road and rail connectivity. Equipped to manage all types of cargo and container traffic, the terminal is also set to expand further with future plans for an inland container depot and warehousing facilities.

The new logistics hub is strategically located to serve key industries in the region. The salt industry in nearby Maliya—a major contributor to India’s salt production—will benefit from faster and more efficient cargo movement. Morbi’s ceramic sector, which supplies over 80% of the country’s ceramic products, is also expected to gain significantly from improved freight connectivity. Additionally, sectors such as chemicals, agriculture, fertilizers, and MSMEs are poised to benefit from the enhanced logistics network.

With this facility, WCIL reaffirms its commitment to providing fast, safe, and cost-effective logistics solutions. The Devaliya terminal is expected to transform regional supply chains and support industrial growth by reducing turnaround time and improving cargo handling efficiency.
