Welspun Tubular LLC, a subsidiary of Welspun Corp Ltd, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to announce the expansion of its HFIW pipe manufacturing facility in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. The $100 million investment aims to upgrade the company’s pipeline portfolio in the United States, making it one of the top three global manufacturers of large-diameter line pipes. The expansion is projected to create 175 new jobs and is expected to be completed by March 2026.
The ceremony was attended by key executives, including Mr. B.K. Goenka, Chairman of Welspun World, and Mr. Vipul Mathur, Managing Director of Welspun Corp, alongside state officials and local leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Goenka said, “We are delighted to expand our operations in Little Rock, where we have maintained a strong presence since 2007. This expansion underscores Welspun’s commitment to customer centricity while contributing to the local economy through job creation.”
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders praised the project, stating, “The Port of Little Rock continues to be a hub of economic development, and Welspun’s investment aligns perfectly with our vision to promote a pro-business environment. This expansion reflects Arkansas’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation.”
The expansion will introduce advanced capabilities, enabling the production of pipes up to 24 inches in diameter and 0.75-inch wall thickness with grades up to X80. The facility will achieve a production capacity of 350 KMTPA for HFIW pipes, further solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
Welspun established its manufacturing footprint in Arkansas in 2007 and has since invested over $300 million in the region, consistently expanding its operations at the Port of Little Rock.
