VA Tech Wabag (WABAG) has bagged a prestigious order from RenewSys India Private Limited, the country’s first integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and components. The project involves delivering comprehensive water management solutions for RenewSys’ upcoming 2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Under the contract, WABAG will design, engineer, manufacture, supply, install, and commission an Ultrapure Water (UPW) system, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system. The project execution timeline is set at 11 months.
The order, valued at ₹46.50 crore, is a significant milestone for WABAG as it strengthens the company’s presence in the solar manufacturing ecosystem. With this project, WABAG expands its footprint across high-growth industrial sectors such as solar energy, green hydrogen, and semiconductors, where advanced water management plays a critical role.
