Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (Waaree RTL), a leading player in the Indian renewable energy sector, has been awarded a major contract for the execution of an 870 MWac/1218 MWp grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project. The Letter of Award (LOA) was received from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited (WFEPL) on September 9, 2025.
The project encompasses Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, along with the development of a 33kV/400kV substation and transmission line infrastructure. Additionally, Waaree RTL will provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for two years, ensuring efficient project performance post-commissioning.
The total contract value is approximately INR 1,252.43 Cr. (excluding taxes). Execution is expected to be completed during the financial year 2026-27, pending necessary statutory approvals.
This contract highlights Waaree RTL’s expertise in large-scale solar power projects and strengthens its position in India’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector. Notably, the contract qualifies as a related-party transaction, as WFEPL is a subsidiary of the holding company, executed at arm’s length.
