Waaree Energies Limited has announced a significant expansion plan alongside key changes in its board and senior management, as per its filing with the exchanges on March 25, 2025.

The company’s board approved the establishment of an additional 1.6 GW module manufacturing line at its facility in Brookshire, Texas, USA, as well as a new 3.2 GW module line at its Chikhli plant in Gujarat. This expansion is aimed at bolstering Waaree’s production capabilities in both domestic and international markets.

In another key development, the board has appointed Mr. R.S. Loona as an Additional Non-Executive (Independent) Director for a term of five years starting March 26, 2025. Mr. Loona, a renowned corporate lawyer and former Executive Director of SEBI, brings decades of regulatory and legal experience to the company.

At the same time, Mr. Jayesh Shah completed his second term as an Independent Director on March 25, 2025, and consequently ceased to be associated with the board.

Further, Mr. Ankit Doshi has been appointed as President – Strategy, effective March 26, 2025. Doshi, who is also the son of Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Hitesh Doshi, has been instrumental in the growth of Waaree’s inverter and solar retail business over the past nine years.

These developments mark Waaree’s commitment to both capacity enhancement and strategic leadership as it continues to play a leading role in India’s renewable energy transition.
