Waaree Energies Ltd. on Thursday announced the commissioning of its new 1.80 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Degam, Chikli, Navsari district of Gujarat.
This addition strengthens Waaree’s position in the renewable energy sector, significantly enhancing its module production capacity. The facility will help the company meet growing domestic and international demand for high-efficiency solar modules, especially as clean energy transitions accelerate across key markets.
The company has maintained that this facility is part of its broader roadmap to scale up production and meet both national and export market requirements. With this launch, Waaree continues to drive forward its vision of supporting India’s renewable energy goals while reinforcing its role as a key player in the global solar supply chain.
Earlier, Waaree Energies revealed that over 50% of its revenues are derived from international markets, particularly the United States, making capacity and operational enhancements vital for long-term strategic growth.
This facility comes on the heels of the company’s broader capital investment plans aimed at boosting manufacturing infrastructure, supply chain capabilities, and technology upgrades in line with global standards.
