W.S. Industries (India) Limited has announced a significant land acquisition as part of its expansion strategy. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, WSI-P&C Verticals Private Limited, has entered into a binding agreement with Arni Associates Private Limited to acquire 54.89 acres of land in Sandavellur Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu, for a consideration of Rs 46.66 crore.
This latest acquisition adds to the company’s existing land portfolio in the region. WSI had previously acquired 254 acres through an auction by the Central Bank of India and later expanded its holdings by another 74.94 acres in January 2025. With this new transaction, W.S. Industries and its subsidiary will now hold approximately 400 acres in this industrially significant location.
Strategic Importance of the Acquisition
The acquired land is located near major industrial hubs, including Samsung, Foxconn, and Hyundai, making it a prime location for future multiuse development. A Tamil Nadu government gazette notification has already approved the land for multiuse purposes, enhancing its potential for various commercial and industrial developments.
Future Development Plans
The acquisition aligns with W.S. Industries’ long-term strategy of expanding its industrial and commercial footprint in Tamil Nadu. The company aims to capitalize on the region’s growing industrial presence, leveraging its proximity to major manufacturing and technology companies.
The acquisition is expected to be completed after the registration process, further strengthening W.S. Industries’ position in Tamil Nadu’s industrial sector.
