Voltas Ltd. delivered a strong performance in the first half of FY25, posting a significant year-on-year (YoY) growth in its profits and revenues. The company achieved its highest-ever profit before tax (PBT) in H1, reaching ₹657 crore, up by 128% from ₹288 crore last year. This was attributed to a solid performance across its segments, with the Voltas Beko division showing a remarkable 54% growth in the home appliances sector, notably in refrigerators and washing machines.

Key Financial Highlights:

  • Q2 FY25 Revenue: Voltas reported a consolidated total income of ₹2,725 crore for Q2 FY25, marking a 15% YoY growth from ₹2,364 crore in Q2 FY24.

    The revenue from operations stood at ₹1,705.28 crore for the latest quarter. This reflects a substantial increase compared to ₹1,344.32 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): PBT for the quarter rose 142% YoY, reaching ₹205 crore, up from ₹85 crore in Q2 FY24.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): Net profit surged to ₹133 crore, a 269% increase YoY from ₹36 crore in the same quarter last year.

Segment Performance:

  1. Unitary Cooling Products (UCP): The segment saw a 45% growth in revenue in H1 FY25, reaching ₹5,384 crore. In Q2, it generated ₹1,582 crore, up by 31% YoY. Segment results for Q2 stood at ₹116 crore, demonstrating the company’s leading market position in air-conditioning products.
  2. Electro-Mechanical Projects and Services: This division reported ₹880 crore revenue in Q2 and ₹1,829 crore in H1 FY25, showing steady demand. The segment turned profitable with ₹46 crore in Q2, reversing losses incurred last year due to improved project execution.
  3. Engineering Products and Services: Revenue in this segment increased to ₹308 crore in H1 FY25. In Q2, revenue reached ₹147 crore, up 9% YoY, though segment profit dropped to ₹40 crore from ₹54 crore last year.
