Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Limited, a leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company listed on NSE as VPRPL and on BSE as 543974, has successfully completed and handed over the Silchar 24×7 Water Supply Project in Assam under the Government of India’s AMRUT Mission. The project marks a significant milestone in strengthening urban water infrastructure in the Northeast and reinforces the company’s execution capabilities in large-scale municipal projects.

The Silchar 24×7 Water Supply Project was executed for the Assam Urban Water Supply & Sewerage Board (AUWSSB) at an approximate project cost of ₹177.47 crore. Designed to ensure continuous and reliable potable water supply to the city, the project plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life for residents while supporting sustainable urban development in the region.

As part of the comprehensive scope of work, the project involved the development of intake systems, a modern water treatment plant, transmission mains, pumping stations, service reservoirs, an extensive distribution network, household connections, and advanced PLC-SCADA automation systems. Water supply under the project commenced on March 1, 2024, and the initiative was partially inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, underscoring its importance to the state’s urban infrastructure roadmap. The executing authority has officially certified Vishnu Prakash R Punglia Limited’s performance as satisfactory, reflecting adherence to quality standards and timely execution.
