Vedanta Limited achieved robust growth across its key business segments during Q3 FY25, supported by strong performance in zinc, aluminium, and oil & gas operations. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 38,526 crore, while total segment EBITDA reached Rs 11,824 crore.
Segment-wise highlights for Q3 FY25:
- Zinc, Lead, and Silver:
- Revenue: Rs 8,897 crore, up from Rs 7,953 crore YoY.
- EBITDA: Rs 4,532 crore, compared to Rs 3,549 crore in Q3 FY24.
- Oil & Gas:
- Revenue: Rs 2,636 crore, slightly down from Rs 3,383 crore YoY.
- EBITDA: Rs 1,201 crore, compared to Rs 1,259 crore YoY.
- Aluminium:
- Revenue: Rs 15,306 crore, up from Rs 12,122 crore YoY.
- EBITDA: Rs 4,540 crore, compared to Rs 2,873 crore in Q3 FY24.
- Copper:
- Revenue: Rs 5,803 crore, up from Rs 5,376 crore.
- EBITDA: Rs 4 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 10 crore YoY.
- Iron Ore:
- Revenue: Rs 1,865 crore, down from Rs 2,476 crore YoY.
- EBITDA: Rs 375 crore, compared to Rs 634 crore in Q3 FY24.
- Power:
- Revenue: Rs 1,273 crore, marginally lower than Rs 1,530 crore YoY.
- EBITDA: Rs 131 crore, compared to Rs 193 crore YoY.
Vedanta’s aluminium segment witnessed the most substantial growth, with revenue increasing over 26% and a significant improvement in profitability. The zinc and silver business also maintained steady performance. However, lower EBITDA in segments like oil & gas and power reflects ongoing cost pressures.
