Vardhman Textiles Limited, one of India’s leading textile manufacturers, announced a key update regarding its renewable energy initiative in Madhya Pradesh. The company has executed an Amended Share Subscription and Shareholders’ Agreement with Renew Green Energy Solutions Private Limited and Renew Green (MPR One) Private Limited for its 11.5 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Plant project.

This development follows the earlier announcement dated May 2, 2023, wherein Vardhman Textiles disclosed its participation in a joint agreement to establish a captive power plant under the Captive Rules framework. The plant aims to generate clean energy exclusively for the company’s use, aligning with its long-term sustainability and cost-efficiency goals.

Under the amended agreement approved by the Committee of Directors (Renewable Energy) on June 14, 2025, the location of the renewable energy project has been changed—within the state of Madhya Pradesh. The specific new site has not been disclosed but is expected to offer logistical and operational advantages.
