Ultratech Cement has reported a challenging performance for the second quarter of FY25, reflecting a decline in both revenue and profitability. The company’s net profit for Q2 FY25 dropped by 36% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹825 crore, compared to ₹1,281 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations also saw a 2% decline, coming in at ₹15,635 crore for Q2 FY25, down from ₹16,012 crore in Q2 FY24.
In addition to these figures, EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) witnessed a significant drop of 21% YoY, totaling ₹2,019 crore, compared to ₹2,550.9 crore in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.
The results reflect pressures in both costs and market conditions, impacting Ultratech Cement’s financial performance for the quarter. The company remains focused on long-term operational efficiency and growth amid the challenges.
