UltraTech Cement has announced the successful commissioning of additional cement manufacturing capacity across two of its key locations in India, further strengthening its leadership position in the domestic and global cement industry. The newly added capacity totals 1.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), underscoring the company’s ongoing focus on scale, efficiency, and long-term growth.

The capacity expansion includes a 0.6 mtpa grinding unit commissioned at Dhule in Maharashtra, enhancing the company’s presence in western India and improving supply efficiency in the region. In addition, UltraTech has commissioned 1.2 mtpa of integrated cement capacity at Nathdwara in Rajasthan, a strategically important location that supports both clinker and cement production while improving operational integration.

Following the commissioning of these facilities, UltraTech Cement’s total domestic grey cement manufacturing capacity has increased to 188.66 mtpa. This expansion further consolidates the company’s position as India’s largest cement producer, with a wide geographic footprint and a robust production network designed to meet rising infrastructure and housing demand.

Including its overseas cement capacity of 5.4 mtpa, UltraTech Cement’s global manufacturing capacity now stands at 194.06 mtpa.
