TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited has announced a significant new contract with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, strengthening its position as a key logistics partner to global automotive manufacturers. The three-year agreement involves managing end-to-end in-plant warehouse operations at DICV’s manufacturing facility in Chennai.
The latest partnership underscores TVS Supply Chain’s focus on delivering technology-enabled, efficiency-driven supply chain solutions tailored for complex automotive production environments. As part of the engagement, approximately 700 employees from TVS Supply Chain will be deployed to support warehouse and material management operations within the DICV plant.
Under the contract, TVS Supply Chain will oversee comprehensive in-plant logistics activities, including material receipt, storage, line feeding, and inventory control. The objective is to ensure uninterrupted material flow across the manufacturing ecosystem, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall operational efficiency within the facility.
A key differentiator of the engagement is the use of advanced digital and automation-led technologies. The solution integrates IoT-based tracking systems to provide real-time visibility of materials, automation tools to minimise manual handling, and predictive analytics to enable smarter demand and inventory planning. Centralised digital dashboards will also be used to monitor performance metrics, supporting faster decision-making and continuous process improvement.
