Time Technoplast Ltd. has made a significant leap in the field of sustainable energy with approval from the Nodal Agency, Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO). The company is now the first in India to receive authorization for the manufacture of Type-3 Fully Wrapped Fibre Reinforced Composite Cylinders, designed for storing hydrogen to power fuel cell-driven Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and drones.

These high-pressure cylinders, with a capacity of 6.8 liters, are key to advancing eco-friendly technology in the drone industry. Unlike conventional heavy batteries, Type-3 composite cylinders offer a higher power-to-weight ratio, allowing for longer flight times, greater payload capacities, and faster refueling, all while minimizing frequent recharges.

This innovation aligns with Time Technoplast’s commitment to Make in India and its leadership in the hydrogen energy sector. These advanced composite cylinders support a growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in various applications, including defense, surveillance, agriculture, aerial photography, search and rescue, and cargo delivery. With a projected 11% growth rate, the UAV and drone market is expected to reach USD 60 billion by 2032.
