Thermax, a leading provider of energy and environment solutions, informed exchanges that the company has established a strategic partnership with Ceres Power Limited, a subsidiary of Ceres Power Holdings plc (CWR.L), a pioneering developer of clean energy technology.
The two companies have signed a non-exclusive global license agreement that allows Thermax to manufacture, sell and service stack array modules (SAM) based on Ceres’ innovative solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) technology. Additionally, Thermax will develop, commercialise and sell multimegawatt SOEC electrolyser modules as well as SAM balance of modules (SBM). The collaboration is a major step in accelerating the deployment of SOEC technology, which will enable affordable green hydrogen production in India and around the world.
In the exchange filing, the company also shared, “Under this partnership, Thermax will leverage its extensive experience in heat integration and waste heat recovery to manufacture a first-of-its-kind pressurised SAM and design, engineer, and develop SAM balance of module (SBM), a building block for further development of a multi-MW SOEC electrolyser module.”
