Tejas Networks (BSE: 540595, NSE: TEJASNET) announced that it has been awarded IP routing equipment supply contracts for seven of the twelve BharatNet Phase-III packages declared to date, making it the largest supplier in terms of package allocations. This milestone places the company at the forefront of India’s largest rural broadband expansion initiative.

BharatNet, a flagship programme of the Government of India, aims to deliver high-quality broadband connectivity to rural communities by bridging the digital divide between urban and rural regions. Phase-III is focused on establishing a robust, secure, and scalable middle-mile network built on IP-MPLS technology to support reliable digital services across the country.

For this deployment, Tejas Networks will supply its TJ1400 family of next-generation access and aggregation routers. Designed and developed indigenously, the TJ1400 platform is already widely deployed in high-availability, mission-critical networks. Under Phase-III, these systems will be installed across nine states—Bihar, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur—along with five Union Territories. The scope includes more than 50,000 routers to be deployed across approximately 57,000 Gram Panchayats and 2,000 Blocks.

Tejas Networks is executing this nationwide rollout in collaboration with five leading Project Implementation Agencies: NCC, Polycab, Invenia-STL Networks, GR Infraprojects, and ITI.
