Tejas Networks has recently informed exchanges that the company signed a three-year contract with Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), one of India’s leading telecom providers, to enhance its backhaul network. Under this agreement, Tejas Networks will supply its cutting-edge TJ1400 and TJ1600 packet and optical transmission products, aimed at improving Vodafone Idea’s network performance across multiple telecom circles.
As Vodafone Idea accelerates its 4G and 5G rollouts across India, upgrading its backhaul network has become essential to handle increasing data traffic and bandwidth demands. Highlighting the contract, Mr. Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vodafone Idea, stated, “Tejas Networks’ PTN and OTN solutions will be instrumental in creating a scalable, robust, and future-ready network to deliver an exceptional service experience to our customers.”
