Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited (TEECL) has been awarded a significant contract by RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. to design, build, finance, operate, and transfer Edge Data Centers (EDCs) across 102 cities in India. This 20-year concession, extendable by five years, aligns with India’s digital empowerment mission and aims to enhance digital infrastructure nationwide. The EDCs will support low latency, high bandwidth applications, and drive the adoption of digital services in rural and urban areas, propelling India’s Digital India mission.

Ankit Saraiya, Director of TEECL, emphasized that this contract is a major milestone, reflecting TEECL’s commitment to building India’s digital future. The EDCs will facilitate crucial services, including financial inclusion, digital literacy, and cloud gaming, contributing to the country’s vision of a digitally empowered society.

With over 40 years of experience, TEECL is a leading power infrastructure company in India, having completed over 400 projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution. The company is at the forefront of shaping India’s digital infrastructure, with a vision to establish the largest footprint of data centers across India by FY2030, investing over $1 billion.
