TCS partners with Bank of Bhutan to modernize digital core

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services and consulting, has announced a strategic partnership with the Bank of Bhutan to modernize the bank’s digital infrastructure. TCS will implement its TCS BaNCS™ Global Banking Platform to optimize the bank’s operations and improve customer service by seamlessly integrating with Bhutan’s digital ecosystem.

The Bank of Bhutan, the country’s largest commercial bank, serves over 400,000 customers across 45 branches, offering a wide range of financial products. TCS has been a trusted technology partner for the bank since 2016, driving its growth and digital transformation. This new initiative builds on that successful collaboration, aiming to enhance the bank’s capabilities and streamline its processes.

The TCS BaNCS Global Banking Platform will enable the Bank of Bhutan to access a comprehensive suite of banking and payment solutions, covering areas like customer deposits, loan management, retail services, trade finance, pricing, and more. By modernizing the bank’s core systems, TCS aims to improve operational efficiency and ensure seamless service delivery to customers while supporting the broader digitalization efforts of Bhutan’s public services.

TCS’ solution, built on an intelligent digital core, would enable the bank to swiftly bring new, innovative products to market while providing a seamless customer experience.
