Tata Consultancy Services has completed the sale of a 49% stake in its data centre subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center to TPG Terabyte Bidco Pte. Ltd., effective March 9, 2026. The transaction marks the end of HyperVault’s status as a wholly owned subsidiary of TCS.

TPG Terabyte, an affiliate of global alternative asset manager TPG (which manages $303 billion in assets), subscribed to 2,70,000 equity shares of ₹100 each, 70,53,530 Class A Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares of ₹100 each, and 1,26,12,745 Class B Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares of ₹100 each. HyperVault received an aggregate investment of ₹1,99,36,27,500 on March 9, 2026. TCS did not directly receive any consideration from the transaction.

HyperVault, incorporated on October 29, 2025, recorded nil turnover and a net worth of ₹208.38 crore as of December 31, 2025, representing 0.18% of TCS’s consolidated net worth. The transaction does not constitute a related party transaction. TPG Terabyte does not belong to TCS’s promoter or promoter group.
