Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)  and IBM are partnering to support the development of India’s quantum computing industry through the upcoming Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. This initiative is aligned with the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s strategy to establish a hub for advanced quantum research and development.

The Quantum Valley Tech Park will feature India’s largest quantum computer, the IBM Quantum System Two, equipped with a 156-qubit Heron processor. This installation marks a significant step in expanding quantum infrastructure within the country.

As part of the partnership, TCS will work alongside IBM to support the development of quantum algorithms and applications relevant to Indian industries and academic institutions. The focus will be on addressing complex national challenges using quantum technologies.

Once operational, members of the Quantum Valley Tech Park will gain access to IBM’s cloud-based quantum computing systems, enabling research and innovation in fields such as materials science, optimization, and cryptography.

This collaboration represents a concrete step toward building a quantum-ready ecosystem in India, providing companies and researchers with the infrastructure needed to explore and apply quantum computing technologies.
