Tata Power Company Limited reported a strong performance in the second quarter of FY26, with steady growth in both revenue and profitability.

The company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 15,544.91 crore, compared to Rs 15,697.67 crore in Q2 FY25, showing a marginal dip of 1% YoY, largely due to stable generation tariffs and lower fuel cost adjustments. Total income for the quarter came in at Rs 16,505.32 crore.

Tata Power posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,245 crore, up 13.9% YoY from Rs 1,093 crore reported in the same period last year. The growth was driven by improved operational efficiency and higher contributions from renewable energy and transmission segments.

Total expenses for Q2 FY26 rose to Rs 14,723.66 crore, compared to Rs 14,082.46 crore a year ago, owing to higher power purchase costs and depreciation linked to new project commissioning.

For the half-year ended September 30, 2025, Tata Power reported revenue of Rs 33,579.58 crore and net profit of Rs 3,299.36 crore, compared to Rs 32,991.82 crore and Rs 3,046.05 crore respectively in the previous year.

The company said its focus remains on expanding renewable capacity and modernizing infrastructure while maintaining a balanced and sustainable growth trajectory.
