Tata Elxsi has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to drive innovations in Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The collaboration focuses on leveraging Qualcomm’s Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions to accelerate cloud-native application development for the automotive industry.
Through this partnership, Tata Elxsi will create virtual electronic control unit (ECU) platforms using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon virtual system-on-chips (VSoCs). These platforms are designed to assist automakers and Tier-1 suppliers by enhancing mobility solutions across passenger, commercial, and off-highway vehicles. By reducing dependency on physical hardware, the partnership aims to expedite the SDV development process, enabling faster software development and validation.
At CES 2025, Tata Elxsi will showcase its AVENIR™ SDV suite, integrated with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride™ Flex SoC. The live demonstration will highlight real-world applications in infotainment and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), emphasizing a cloud-native, virtualized approach to automotive software development.
