Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, in collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation, a renowned Japanese mobility manufacturer, has inaugurated the SUZUKI–TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Center in Trivandrum, India. This cutting-edge facility is Suzuki’s first full-vehicle cloud-enabled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation center and marks the second engineering hub under the Tata Elxsi–Suzuki partnership, following the Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Pune.
The Cloud HIL Center is designed for early-stage, full-vehicle simulation and validation using a cloud-native infrastructure, allowing Suzuki’s development and testing teams to remotely access HIL setups integrated with Electronic Control Units (ECUs). This reduces the need for physical prototypes, accelerates validation cycles, and supports global R&D operations efficiently.
Aligned with Suzuki’s vision for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), the facility emphasizes a software-led and scalable development approach, enabling faster innovation and superior vehicle quality. Leveraging Tata Elxsi’s expertise in automotive Verification & Validation (V&V), simulation, and test automation, the Cloud HIL Center aims to enhance development speed, reliability, and future readiness.
The center is a core part of Suzuki’s global “SDV Right” strategy, supporting Electrical and Electronic (E/E) virtual development, continuous integration, and quicker release cycles. It strengthens the Tata Elxsi–Suzuki partnership, building on the success of the Pune ODC and laying the foundation for long-term engineering collaboration in future mobility programs worldwide.
