Tata Communications, a leading global communications technology company, has announced the successful deployment of its advanced digital infrastructure to support Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) newly launched eSIM services. This initiative will benefit millions of mobile subscribers across India, offering a seamless and modern connectivity experience.

The eSIM services are powered by Tata Communications MOVE™, a GSMA-accredited eSIM Subscription Management platform, delivered through Tata Communications Collaboration Services Private Ltd. (TCCSPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Communications. This platform enables BSNL to provide nationwide eSIM provisioning, making mobile connectivity more convenient, flexible, and secure for its users.

With the launch of BSNL eSIMs, subscribers can now activate 2G, 3G, and 4G services remotely using a secure QR code, eliminating the need for a physical SIM. The service also supports dual-SIM devices, allowing users to maintain both a physical SIM and an eSIM simultaneously. This functionality is particularly beneficial for travellers, enabling easy and secure connection to local operators abroad.

This partnership aligns with Tata Communications’ commitment to supporting the Indian Government’s Digital India initiative. While the initial focus is on consumer services, the Tata Communications MOVE™ platform is built to scale for enterprise IoT applications, enabling the digital transformation of Indian businesses.
