Tata Communications has announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to build an advanced AI infrastructure in India, utilizing NVIDIA’s cutting-edge Hopper GPUs. This partnership is set to empower AI applications across various industries, positioning Tata Communications as a key player in the Indian AI ecosystem.
The first phase of deployment will begin this year, marking the creation of one of India’s largest cloud-based supercomputers powered by NVIDIA Hopper GPUs. The initiative aims to support industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and banking by providing the computing power necessary for handling complex AI workloads.
In addition to NVIDIA Hopper GPUs, Tata Communications will integrate advanced NVIDIA software solutions like NVIDIA NIM microservices, NVIDIA Omniverse, and the NVIDIA Isaac platform. These technologies will enhance Tata Communications’ AI Cloud offerings, enabling businesses to use AI for simulation, automation, and more.
The second phase of this initiative, scheduled for 2025, will further expand the AI infrastructure with the inclusion of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs.
Tata Communications also plans to introduce an AI Studio platform that will provide businesses with essential tools such as AI Workbench, Model Garden, and Responsible AI, helping them streamline AI development and deployment. The company’s IZO™ Multi Cloud Connect platform will facilitate efficient data management and migration to the AI Cloud, ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability for enterprises.
This collaboration is set to redefine AI capabilities for Indian businesses, offering low-latency inferencing through Tata Communications’ CloudLyte Edge Computing platform. Enterprises will be able to deploy AI models at the edge for real-time responses, maximizing the potential of AI-driven innovations.
