Swiggy Instamart expands to 100 cities, bringing 10-minute deliveries nationwide

Swiggy Instamart, one of India’s leading quick commerce platforms, has reached a major milestone by expanding its services to 100 cities across the country. With the increasing demand for ultra-fast deliveries, particularly in tier 2 and 3 cities, this expansion aims to bring the convenience of 10-minute deliveries to millions of new customers. Recently, the platform launched in cities like Raipur, Siliguri, Jodhpur, and Thanjavur, offering quick access to a wide range of products for the first time.

Customers in these cities can now order from a selection of over 30,000 products, covering everything from groceries and daily essentials to electronics, smartphones, fashion, makeup, toys, and more. This rapid expansion comes at a crucial time, coinciding with the cricket and festive seasons when demand for quick deliveries is at its peak.

To support its growing operations, Swiggy Instamart is strengthening its darkstore network with the introduction of ‘megapods’. These large fulfillment centers, ranging from 10,000 to 12,000 square feet, can stock up to 50,000 SKUs. This means customers can access three times the product range compared to a regular darkstore. Not only does this expansion boost grocery offerings, but it also enhances availability in non-grocery categories, making the platform even more versatile.

Swiggy Instamart is also focusing on localization by offering popular regional brands alongside national FMCG and D2C products. For instance, customers in Patna can order local favorites like Sudha Milk and Maharaja Bread, while those in Raipur can find brands such as Vachan and Bake’o’fun
