Suzlon Energy Limited has expanded its largest Commercial & Industrial (C&I) order with Jindal Renewables by 204.75 MW, bringing the cumulative order capacity to 907.20 MW. The order, placed by Jindal Green Wind 1 Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables, aims to accelerate India’s low-carbon steel revolution through renewable energy solutions.

The new addition involves 65 state-of-the-art S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a 3.15 MW capacity, to be deployed in the Karur region of Tamil Nadu. The power generated will be used for captive consumption in Jindal Steel’s plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, reinforcing India’s green energy transition.

This expansion further strengthens Suzlon’s renewable energy footprint, with C&I customers now accounting for 59% of its total order book, which has reached a record 5.9 GW—the highest in the company’s history.
