Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) has secured a significant contract from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to develop, upgrade, operate, and maintain a middle mile network for Bharat Net in Jammu & Kashmir under the DBOM (Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain) model.
Contract Details:
- Contract Value: ₹1,625.36 crore
- Scope of Work: Creation, upgradation, and maintenance of the Bharat Net middle mile network
- Project Timeline: 3 years for construction, followed by a 10-year maintenance period
- Maintenance Terms: 5.5% per annum of capex for the first 5 years, and 6.5% per annum of capex for the next 5 years
