Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited reported a massive turnaround in profitability for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25), with consolidated net profit surging to ₹55.38 crore, up over 3,720% from ₹1.45 crore reported in Q4 FY24.

The company’s total income for the quarter more than doubled, rising 107% YoY to ₹2,506.45 crore from ₹1,211.40 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations came in at ₹2,519.11 crore, while other income posted a net loss of ₹12.66 crore.

Total expenditure for the quarter rose to ₹2,419.73 crore, driven by higher project execution costs, up from ₹1,177.66 crore in Q4 FY24.

Q4 EBITDA stood at ₹1,330 million, marking a steep 343% increase from ₹300 million in the previous year. The EBITDA margin expanded to 5.31%, compared to 2.44% YoY, highlighting improved operational efficiencies.

Profit before tax came in at ₹86.72 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹33.74 crore last year. After a total tax expense of ₹31.34 crore, the company reported a net profit of ₹55.01 crore. Total comprehensive income for the quarter stood at ₹38.01 crore.

For the full financial year FY25, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy posted a consolidated net profit of ₹85.55 crore, against a net loss of ₹210.79 crore in FY24.

The company attributed the strong performance to better project execution, a higher share of premium projects, and tighter cost control measures.
