Star Cement Limited has been declared the ‘Preferred Bidder’ for the North Boro Hundong Limestone Block (Part – A) in e-auctions conducted by the Government of Assam. The limestone block, situated in the Dima Hasao district (formerly North Cachar Hills), spans an area of 200 hectares and holds an estimated limestone resource of 192.36 million tonnes.

Winning this bid strengthens Star Cement’s resource base, further solidifying its position in the industry.

The company has notified the stock exchanges about this development in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

This development is expected to play a crucial role in Star Cement’s future expansion plans, ensuring sustained growth in the northeastern cement market. More updates on the formal agreements and operational plans related to the limestone block are anticipated in due course.
