SPML Infra Limited has been awarded a project worth ₹1,438 crore, inclusive of GST (approximately USD 163 million), in joint venture with JWIL Infra Limited. SPML Infra will lead the contract with a 51 percent share. The order was placed by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Bharatpur, Rajasthan, under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The project will focus on strengthening the water supply infrastructure for the Dholpur and Saipau blocks in Rajasthan. It is expected to benefit more than 1.5 million residents by providing reliable drinking water. The work involves the construction of an intake well, two Raw Water Reservoirs of 10 MCM and 12 MCM on the Chambal River, and the laying of 712 kilometres of pipelines ranging from 100 mm to 2000 mm in diameter. It also includes the development of 21 Elevated Service Reservoirs, the establishment of Raw Water Pumping Stations, a 135 MLD Water Treatment Plant at RWR-2, and a 5 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Dholpur.
Further works cover cluster pumping stations, clear water and rising mains, as well as the provision of functional household tap connections in Dholpur and Saipau. The contract also carries a ten-year operation and maintenance component. The EPC portion is scheduled to be completed in 20 months, followed by a one-year defect liability period before the start of the O&M phase.
