SpiceJet has expanded its fleet with the addition of two Boeing 737 aircraft, enhancing the airline’s operational capacity across key domestic and international routes. The aircraft have already completed all regulatory procedures and entered commercial service, operating flights since November 26 and November 29.
According to the company, the newly inducted aircraft are currently deployed on routes such as Delhi–Bangkok, Ahmedabad–Dubai, and Ahmedabad–Kolkata. The move comes at a time when the airline is focusing on boosting connectivity and improving overall schedule reliability to meet rising travel demand.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet, said the inductions reflect the airline’s calibrated growth strategy. He stated that the aircraft will further strengthen operations and provide passengers with more options during peak travel season.
SpiceJet continues to operate a fleet of Boeing 737s and Q-400s and remains a key player in India’s regional aviation market under the UDAN scheme, with the airline reiterating its commitment to offering reliable and affordable air travel.
