SML Isuzu Limited has received a significant order from the Department of Military Affairs under the Ministry of Defence. The contract, awarded by the Indian Air Force, involves the supply of 114 units of BS VI, 4-Wheel Drive Troop Carriers with 20-seat capacity. This contract, valued at ₹24.71 crores, reinforces SML Isuzu’s position as a trusted supplier of defense vehicles.
The order was secured through a standard Government e-Marketplace (GEM) tender process, adhering to prudent business norms and conditions. The vehicles will be manufactured and delivered within the stipulated timeline, from March 11, 2025, to July 9, 2025.
As a domestic contract, this deal highlights the growing collaboration between Indian defense forces and indigenous manufacturers. The BS VI troop carriers, equipped with advanced features and built for rugged terrains, will enhance mobility and operational efficiency for the Indian Air Force.
