SML Isuzu Ltd. reported a strong set of monthly sales numbers for July 2025, with total vehicle sales rising 18.6% year-on-year to 1,427 units, up from 1,203 units sold in July 2024.
The surge was led by the cargo vehicle segment, which saw sales of 449 units in July 2025 — a sharp 53.2% jump compared to 293 units in the same month last year. Passenger vehicle sales grew more modestly, by 7.5%, to 978 units from 910 units in July 2024.
For the April–July period (FY26), the company’s cumulative sales stood at 6,353 units, up 13.8% from 5,582 units in the same period of FY25. Cargo vehicle sales in this period rose 48.1%, while passenger vehicles saw a 4.7% increase.
The growth in commercial vehicle sales, especially cargo, comes amid expectations of a revival in infrastructure activity and higher freight movement.
