Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd. has released its consolidated monthly sales performance for April 2025, covering key product segments across its operations.
Stainless Steel
Sales volume for stainless steel stood at 7,149 MT in April 2025, marking a 4% year-on-year (YoY) increase from April 2024 and an 8% month-on-month (MoM) increase from March 2025. The average realisation rose by 7% YoY to ₹1,35,846 per MT and by 6% MoM.
Pig Iron
Pig iron sales reached 41,866 MT in April 2025, with a 53.3% increase compared to March 2025. The average realisation slightly rose by 1% MoM to ₹35,400 per MT. The company’s blast furnace plant in Jamuria, commissioned in November 2024, has been consistently operational.
Cold Rolled (CR) Coil/Sheets
CR Coil/Sheet volumes were 10,993 MT in April 2025, registering a 33% MoM increase. Realisations improved by 2.7% MoM to ₹70,168 per MT. The color-coated plant in Jamuria, commissioned in November 2024, contributed to this output.
HR Tubes/Pipes
The company sold 488 MT of HR Tubes/Pipes in April 2025, up 39% from the previous month. The average realisation rose by 5.45% MoM to ₹48,825 per MT. These products are manufactured using leftover side-slitted HR coils from the color-coated plant.
Aluminium Foil
Aluminium foil sales reached 1,576 MT in April 2025, up 18% YoY but down 21% MoM. The average realisation increased by 19% YoY and 3% MoM to ₹3,68,695 per MT.
Speciality Alloys
Speciality alloy sales stood at 19,945 MT, showing a 32.6% YoY and 8% MoM increase in volume. However, average realisation dropped by 5.8% YoY and 1.1% MoM to ₹87,909 per MT.
Carbon Steel
Carbon steel volumes, comprising steel billets and long steel products, totaled 1,36,372 MT in April 2025, representing a 4% YoY increase but a 9.9% decline MoM. Average realisation slightly improved by 0.51% YoY and 3% MoM to ₹46,265 per MT.
Sponge Iron
Sponge iron volumes reached 78,736 MT in April 2025, up 4% YoY and down 5% MoM. Realisations decreased by 6% YoY but rose 2% MoM to ₹25,646 per MT.
Pellets
Pellet sales showed a significant 106% YoY increase and 41% MoM growth, reaching 1,04,148 MT. The average realisation remained flat YoY at ₹8,806 per MT and slightly declined MoM by 0.03%.
