Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has released its consolidated sales figures for August 2025, showing mixed but promising trends across its steel, aluminium, and iron product lines. The company’s diverse portfolio—including stainless steel, aluminium foil, pellets, speciality alloys, carbon steel, CR sheets, HR tubes, sponge iron, and pig iron—continued to witness varying demand and realisation patterns, reflecting both market challenges and growth opportunities.

Stainless Steel
In August 2025, Shyam Metalics recorded a 32.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase in stainless steel sales volumes, rising to 9,378 MT from 7,060 MT in August 2024. However, average realisations fell 15.96% YoY to ₹1,25,786 per MT. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, volumes increased 15.75% compared to July, while realisations saw a marginal dip of 4.37%.

Aluminium Foil
Aluminium foil sales saw a slight decline, with volumes down 3.72% YoY at 1,503 MT. Despite this, realisations improved significantly by 15.24% YoY to ₹4,00,667 per MT. MoM volumes decreased 12.31% compared to July, but realisations continued to rise, up 7.72%.

Pellets
Pellets witnessed a massive surge in sales, reaching 1,37,392 MT—a 216.17% increase YoY. Realisations also grew 13.87% YoY to ₹9,277 per MT. MoM volumes jumped 56% with realisations improving 7.97%, highlighting strong market demand.

Speciality Alloys
Speciality alloys faced a slowdown with sales volumes declining 17.28% YoY to 14,849 MT, accompanied by a 5.51% decrease in realisations. Compared to July, volumes were down 31.99% and realisations dipped 3.18% MoM.

Carbon Steel (Billets & Long Products)
Carbon steel sales remained relatively stable, with a slight 2.14% YoY decline in volumes to 1,39,057 MT and a 3.17% drop in realisations. MoM figures showed a minor 0.31% increase in volumes and a marginal 0.42% decrease in realisations.

CR Coils / Sheets
The newly commissioned colour-coated plant in Jamuria contributed to a 1.54% MoM increase in CR sheets volumes to 13,332 MT, although realisations slightly fell by 1.24%. The premium SEL Tiger Roofing Sheets, including SEL Tiger Royale, Elite, Azure, and Alfa, continue to offer high-performance roofing solutions.

HR Tubes / Pipes
The Jamuria plant also repurposed leftover HR coils into RHS and SHS pipes, driving a remarkable 381.16% MoM jump in volumes to 332 MT. Realisations dipped 6.96% MoM.

Sponge Iron
Sponge iron sales volumes declined 34.51% YoY to 56,575 MT, with a slight 1.60% drop in realisations. MoM volumes fell 17.58%, but realisations rose 3.49%.

Pig Iron
The recently commissioned blast furnace at Jamuria contributed to a 20.85% MoM increase in pig iron sales volumes to 67,780 MT. Realisations rose marginally by 0.79% MoM to ₹32,536 per MT.
