Shakti Pumps (India) Limited (SPIL), a pioneer in energy-efficient pumps and motors, has achieved a major milestone in the renewable energy sector. The company announced that it has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 34,720 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM KUSUM B scheme.

As part of this empanelment, Shakti Pumps was allotted 10,000 Off-Grid Solar Pumps for farmers across Maharashtra. On 27th August 2025, the MSEDCL portal went live, and in a record-breaking response, all 10,000 units were selected by farmers within just 1.5 hours of the launch. The order is valued at approximately Rs 268.88 crore (inclusive of GST).

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Dinesh Patidar, Chairman of Shakti Pumps, said: “This swift uptake by farmers highlights the immense trust placed in Shakti Pumps’ solar technology and service reliability. Our strong execution track record and deep presence in Maharashtra give us complete confidence to deliver this order well within the timeline.”
