SEAMEC Limited has announced a significant business win with the signing of a subcontract agreement with G R Infraprojects Limited. Under this agreement, the company will deploy its vessel SEAMEC III for a series of specialised subsea installation and diving works across key Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) projects. The total value of the subcontract stands at approximately USD 16.72 million, exclusive of GST, marking an important milestone for SEAMEC’s marine operations portfolio.
The charter hire of SEAMEC III covers a wide scope of work, including the second-season subsea installation activities for the Part Replacement Pipeline Project, the Pipeline Replacement Project – Group A (PRP-VIII A), and critical assignments under the ONGC DSF II Project. All tasks will be undertaken on a lump-sum basis. The agreed duration for this subcontract is 150 days, during which SEAMEC III will remain fully engaged in offshore project execution.
SEAMEC clarified that the subcontract has been awarded by G R Infraprojects Limited, a domestic entity, and the agreement falls strictly under the company’s normal business operations. There is no shareholding link or related-party association between the parties, and the contract does not involve any special rights, governance influence, or board representation. The company also confirmed that there is no conflict of interest, and the terms of the agreement do not include elements like director appointments or capital structure restrictions.
With this development, SEAMEC continues to strengthen its position as a trusted marine contractor for complex offshore and subsea assignments. The deployment of SEAMEC III for high-value projects under India’s leading energy major ONGC reinforces the company’s capability and expertise in delivering critical underwater operations.
