Saregama India Q3 Results: Revenue surges 136.7% YoY to Rs 483.4 crore, Net profit rises 19% YoY

Saregama India Limited has reported strong financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3 FY25). The company recorded a 19% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to ₹62.3 crore, up from ₹52.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company’s total revenue surged by 136.7% YoY, reaching ₹483.4 crore compared to ₹204.3 crore in Q3 FY24. The growth was driven by robust performances across key segments, including music and content licensing.

EBITDA and Margins
Saregama’s EBITDA rose 28.3% YoY to ₹84.3 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹65.7 crore in the year-ago period. Despite the increase in operational profits, the company’s EBITDA margin declined to 17.4% from 32.2% YoY due to higher operational costs, including increased marketing and content acquisition expenses.

Key Expense Details
Operational costs surged to ₹311.8 crore in the quarter, reflecting the company’s strategic investments in new content production and promotional activities. Employee benefits expenses were at ₹26.7 crore, supporting expansion and talent development.

Taxation and Net Profit Attribution
Tax expenses for the quarter stood at ₹22.1 crore, reflecting the company’s profit growth. Net profit attributable to the owners of the company was ₹62.3 crore, indicating steady returns to shareholders.
