SAMHI Hotels Limited recently informed exchanges that the company has signed a long-term variable lease for a new Upper Upscale hotel in Hyderabad. The property, set to offer 170-175 rooms, will emerge through the conversion of an existing office building located on Hitec City’s main arterial road—an area known for its high-density Grade A office space.
The building boasts a substantial 270,000 sq. ft. of built-up area, and SAMHI will focus on high-quality fit-out work to complete the transformation.
This deal enhances SAMHI’s market share in Hyderabad and is consistent with its objective of growing leased assets, which are more capital efficient. In FY24, revenue from leased assets made up about 13% of SAMHI’s total revenue.
