Salasar Techno Engineering Limited has announced that it has secured two significant contracts worth a total of ₹695.18 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. These projects are aimed at strengthening and modernising the power distribution infrastructure across the Mandi, Bilaspur, Kullu and Hamirpur operation circles under the central zone of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited. Both contracts fall under the government’s Revamped Reforms-based and Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme, which is focused on reducing losses and improving reliability in India’s power network.
The first contract involves complete service support and procurement management for all electrical and mechanical components required for the distribution upgrade. This project alone carries a value of ₹524.99 crore, inclusive of GST. The second contract covers erection and on-ground execution of the upgraded distribution infrastructure in the same regions and is valued at ₹170.19 crore, also inclusive of GST. Together, the two contracts position Salasar Techno Engineering as a key player in the ongoing transformation of the country’s power distribution landscape.
According to the company, the orders were awarded by a domestic entity, and the promoters or promoter group have no interest in RVNL, ensuring the contracts do not fall under related-party transactions. The total execution period for these projects has been set at 20 months, during which Salasar Techno Engineering will be responsible for both procurement and implementation.
