Sahara Housingfina Corporation Limited has disclosed that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of ₹50,000 on the company for non–compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) norms.

The penalty was communicated to the company through a speaking order dated October 16, 2025, following a statutory inspection based on the company’s financial position as on March 31, 2024. RBI noted that Sahara Housingfina had failed to initiate uploading loan account details to the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCR), as required under the applicable guidelines.

According to the regulatory filing, the company received a show-cause notice from RBI on July 11, 2025, and had responded on July 29, 2025. Sahara Housingfina stated that it had completed the CKYCR uploading process prior to receiving the notice, adding that the penalty will not have any material impact on its financial or operational performance.

The order was issued under Section 52A of the National Housing Bank Act, 1987, with the company confirming compliance and corrective action in its filing.
