Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Government of India enterprise, in a joint venture with SCPL, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Eastern Railway for a significant infrastructure project valued at ₹837.67 crore (inclusive of GST). The project involves the construction of a multi-tracking broad-gauge (BG) railway line between Kalipahari (inc.) and Pradhankhuta (exc.), covering a distance of approximately 55 km.
The scope of work includes earthwork in cutting and filling, blanketing, construction of minor and major bridges, road under bridges (RUB), road over bridges (ROB), retaining walls, level crossings, side drains, catchwater drains, track-laying (P.Way work), and other ancillary tasks.
The project, which has a completion timeline of 36 months, marks a major milestone in strengthening India’s railway infrastructure. RVNL holds a 74% share in the joint venture, while SCPL holds the remaining 26%.
Speaking on the development, Kalpana Dubey, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at RVNL, confirmed that this domestic contract falls outside the scope of related party transactions and is not linked to any promoter interests.
