Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a major infrastructure contract, emerging as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a prestigious project awarded by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

The contract involves the construction of a six-lane access-controlled connectivity road to Visakhapatnam Port, spanning from Sabbavaram bypass of the Anakapalli-Anandapuram corridor to Sheelanagar junction of NH 516C in Andhra Pradesh. This significant project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), ensuring efficient financing and timely completion.

The total estimated cost of the project stands at ₹554.64 crore (excluding GST), reflecting the scale and strategic importance of this development. With a stipulated execution timeline of 730 days, the project aims to enhance road infrastructure, streamline connectivity, and boost economic activity in the region. Given the increasing traffic towards Visakhapatnam Port, this initiative is expected to play a crucial role in facilitating seamless transportation and logistics.
