Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a major railway infrastructure project awarded by the North Eastern Railway. The project involves the construction of the substructure of Important Bridge No. 50 (14×61.0 m), featuring a Double D type well foundation designed for a double line with RDSO 25 T axle loading standard over the river Gandak, situated between Paniyahwa and Valmikinagar stations.

This work is part of the doubling project between Gorakhpur Cantt and Valmikinagar section under the North Eastern Railway. The estimated project cost stands at ₹165.54 crore (including GST), and the completion timeline is set at 24 months.

The contract, awarded under Tender No. DYCE-CON-HQ-EPC-03-2025, is a domestic order governed by the General Contract Conditions of the North Eastern Railway. RVNL clarified that neither its promoters nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
