Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd has announced the signing of a new hotel property in Rishikesh, marking a fresh expansion of its North India portfolio. The company confirmed the development through an exchange filing dated December 9, 2025, noting that the new property will operate under a management agreement .
The hotel, located in the Tapovan region of Rishikesh, will feature 36 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and conference spaces suited for destination weddings and corporate events, along with wellness facilities such as a spa and fitness centre. Its proximity to the River Ganga, major ashrams, and adventure hotspots like Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula positions it strategically for both spiritual and leisure travellers.
Chairman & Managing Director Chander K. Baljee said the expansion aligns with Royal Orchid’s vision to strengthen its presence in culturally significant, high-growth destinations. He added that Rishikesh’s mix of spirituality and adventure tourism makes it an important addition to the company’s asset-light growth strategy.
The project is being developed in partnership with Iris Park Leisures Private Limited. Representatives Varun Sharma and Manoj Gupta expressed confidence that the collaboration would bring the Regenta experience to Rishikesh with a blend of local tranquillity and world-class service.
Royal Orchid Hotels currently operates over 119 hotels across India and abroad, offering brands such as Regenta, Regenta Central, Regenta Resort, Regenta Place, and Regenta Inn, according to the company’s profile included in the filing.
