Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has announced the signing of a new upscale hotel in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, further strengthening its footprint in Central India. Strategically located near Gwalior Airport, the upcoming property will operate under a management agreement, aligning with the company’s asset-light growth strategy.
The new hotel, to be branded as Regenta Gwalior, marks ROHL’s second property in Gwalior and its third hotel in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The signing reflects the company’s focus on expanding into emerging business and leisure destinations where demand for quality hospitality infrastructure is steadily rising.
Regenta Gwalior will be developed in two phases. Phase I will include 71 well-appointed rooms along with multiple banquet and event venues. These facilities are designed to cater to a wide range of requirements, including weddings, corporate meetings, social functions, and MICE events. The banquet-focused layout positions the hotel to tap into Gwalior’s growing demand for organized event and conferencing spaces.
Phase II of the project will add 30 more rooms, taking the total inventory higher and enhancing the hotel’s operational scale. With this expansion, the property aims to strengthen its presence in one of Madhya Pradesh’s developing hospitality markets, supported by improving connectivity and increasing business and tourism activity.
