Route Mobile partners with PT MRT Jakarta for first-of-its-kind WhatsApp ticketing business

Route Mobile Limited, a leading cloud communication platform service provider, has announced a strategic partnership with PT MRT Jakarta, Jakarta’s premier urban rail transit provider. The collaboration introduces an innovative WhatsApp-based ticketing system integrated with vending machines, marking a first-of-its-kind solution in the transit sector.

Key Highlights:

• Streamlined Ticketing Process: Passengers purchasing tickets through vending machines will receive automated WhatsApp messages with:
  1. Instructions for using QR codes.
  2. Unique QR codes for entry and exit at transit stations.
• Enhanced User Experience: The multi-step WhatsApp engagement ensures instant and reliable access to crucial travel information, significantly improving commuter convenience.
• Marketing Integration: Route Mobile is also providing email solutions to support MRT Jakarta’s marketing campaigns, enabling the dissemination of event updates, promotional offers, and targeted communications.

The one-year agreement aims to revolutionize Jakarta’s public transit system by enhancing commuter engagement and operational efficiency. With a daily ridership exceeding 91,000 and an annual figure of 33.5 million, this initiative aligns with MRT Jakarta’s goals of improving urban mobility and reducing traffic congestion.
